AVP Risk Strategist​

This new Risk Strategist role will serve as a subject matter expert on capital markets activities, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives. In addition to providing leadership and strategic input into Venerable’s hedging and investing activities, the incumbent will lead projects that contribute to the company’s strategic growth initiatives. You will also provide creative vision and drive innovation, and act as a strategic advisor to senior management on capital markets-related challenges.
FP&A Lead - Actuarial Manager

​As a Financial Planning and Analysis Actuarial Manager you will report directly to a VP Managing Actuary within Venerable’s Controllership team, which holds responsibility for actuarial analysis, and financial reporting. This position will collaborate with actuaries in the Finance and Risk departments, including Valuation, Hedging, RBC, Capital Projections, Investment Risk and Analytics. Additionally, this role is expected to implement solutions that contribute to quality improvements and work process effectiveness.
Associate Actuary-Assumptions

As an Associate Actuary, you will play a key role in determining Venerable’s variable annuity assumptions used to model mortality and policyholder behaviour. Primary responsibilities will include monitoring experience trends, recommending assumption updates, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership for select deferred and payout variable annuity assumptions, as well as playing an integral part in the transformation of Venerable’s assumption-setting processes.
